Chad Bentz is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who defied expectations. He pitched for the Montreal Expos and Florida Marlins organizations, becoming only the second one handed pitcher in MLB history. His remarkable career led to his induction into the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame in 2019, and the Alaska High School Hall of Fame in 2016, recognizing his extraordinary achievements. His life story provides powerful proof that true success is Defined by More than just physical ability; it shows winning starts within.

Chad’s journey includes overcoming personal battles, including alcohol addiction. His candid story illustrates profound resilience and the power of internal strength in facing such challenges. This personal victory further emphasizes that true achievement is Defined by More than just statistics.

Chad holds a Master's degree in Sports Administration and Coaching. He is a certified Mental Performance Mastery (MPM) Coach, a designation endorsed by Brian Cain. His understanding of the mental side of performance was further shaped by working with Dr Ken Ravizza, a renowned sport psychologist, and through his certification with Brian Cain. Jim Abbott, a baseball legend, was a childhood hero who later became a friend, inspiring Chad's journey through his own remarkable career.

Today, Chad serves as Athletic Director at Novi Christian Academy. He also founded Defined by More, a coaching and speaking platform dedicated to helping others succeed. His commitment to mental performance shows that his insights into winning starts within are grounded in both personal experience and expert training.
